The Customers page shows every customer alongside how many files and folders they have access to, with Sync Customers pulling straight from Shopify and Create Customer covering anyone who is not a Shopify customer yet. Assign/Edit sits next to every row, so access starts or changes in one click.

That’s the backbone of a real media library: nested folders, tags for fast filtering, and a storage meter tracking usage by file type against your plan limit. Everything lives in one place instead of scattered across order attachments and email threads.

Create Customers Without Requiring an Order

Create Customer takes a name and email and nothing else. Files can go to a partner, a prospect, or a team member the same way they go to a paying customer; no order required to open the door.

Manage Each Customer’s File Access

That’s the core of a Shopify customer file portal: every customer’s page lists their assigned folders and files individually, each with its own Remove action. Removing one item does not affect anything else assigned to that customer.

Assign Files or Entire Folders to Customers

Mirror the full folder tree, check a folder to grant everything inside it, or expand it and check individual files instead. The Save button shows exactly how many items are included before you confirm the access changes.

What is a Shopify customer file portal?

A Shopify customer file portal is a page where individual customers can access files a merchant has assigned specifically to their account. PayDrop Media Library generates one automatically for every customer with assigned files or folders.

Do customers need to place an order to receive files?

No. Files and folders can be assigned to any customer record, whether it came from a Shopify order or was created manually in the app.

How much storage do I get?

The Free plan includes 150 MB of storage across images, videos, documents, and other file types. Upgrading to Pro raises that limit.

Can I assign an entire folder instead of individual files?

Yes. The assignment picker mirrors your full folder structure, so you can grant access to a whole folder or expand it and select individual files.

Will customers be notified when files are assigned to them?

Yes, if Email Notification is turned on. Customers get an email with a link to their assigned files page, and the subject and body are fully editable.

Can I remove a customer’s access to a file later?

Yes. Each assigned file or folder has its own Remove action, so access can be revoked individually without affecting anything else assigned to that customer.
